Our School Board
St. Thomas Episcopal School is governed by a Board of Directors composed of parents, staff, business professionals and members of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The Board serves as a foundation for the future development and growth of the school. The Board meets monthly to review operational issues important to the school. The Church Vestry oversees the efforts and actions of the School Board.
A Letter From The School Board
Dear Tiger Parents,
As we being the new school year at St. Thomas, the Board would like to let you know of some developments that will guide our efforts through the year. The Board is committed to promoting the school's core values put forth by the school at the beginning of last school year and making St. Thomas a school of even greater excellence where our children can thrive in learning and with Christ.
The Board will continue to meet the second Monday of each month starting at 6:30pm in the administration building. Meetings are open and anyone is welcomed and encouraged to observe these meetings. On occasion, the Board will go into closed session and reserves the ability to do so when the need arises.
In July, targeted committees were formed to oversee several areas of the school's operation. Committee members will meet regularly through the year to develop plans, objectives and priorities. If you have interest in participating in any of these committees, please feel free to contact a Board member. Our committees include: School Marketing, Development, Finance, Facilities and Educational Program Task Force.
Throughout the year, the Board will periodically send updated communication to you. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let us know what's on your mind. Through the efforts and good works of everyone, St. Thomas will grow even stronger.
